Test of Time

Spitfire Mk.IX EN524 returns to RAF Boscombe Down after an evaluation sortie by No.1 Course of the Empire Test Pilot’s School, summer 1943.

This is another set of prints that we’ve found on the shelves, published in 2001. We have some artist signed copies left.

The pilot signed copies carry the original signatures of three Test Pilots,

S/L Richard Muspratt who graduated from Course 1 in 1943 and flew Blenheims and PRU Spitfires during his operational career.

W/C Clive Rustin who graduated from the ETPS in 1960 and returned to be O/C of this and also of the RAE at Farnborough

Commander Charlie Brown who graduated in 1988 and returned to be the O/C of the ETPS in 2001.
