This is an original 15″ x 22″ (56cm x 38cm) painting commissioned for Osprey’s book about the Rabaul campaign.
It depicts an actual event where a Curtiss P-40N-5 of the RNZAF collided with a Japanese Zero flown by Masajiro ‘Mike’ Kawato over the Rabaul area on 17 December 1943.
