JG51 Elite Units (Original)

Major Werner Moelders of JG51 claiming his 33rd victory off Folkestone in his Messerschmitt 109 on 6 September 1940.

This painting was commissioned for the cover of Osprey’s JG51 book in the Elite Units series.

This classic original painting has recently been reacquired by the artist and is now for sale for the first time in 20 years.

As with most Osprey cover paintings, this one is acrylic on 15″ x 11″ fine grain artboard.  The painting is currently framed as illustrated but this can be removed for overseas purchasers if necessary.
