Combat over Malta (Original) SOLD

Major Guenther von Maltzahn shooting down a Hurricane of 126 Sqn over Malta, 19 December 1941 in his Messerschmitt 109.

This painting was commissioned for Osprey’s JG27 book in the Elite Units series.

This classic original painting has recently been reacquired by the artist and is now for sale for the first time in nearly 20 years.

It was purchased on release back in 2007 and has not been available since.

As with most Osprey cover paintings, this one is acrylic on 15″ x 11″ fine grain artboard.  The painting is currently framed as illustrated but this can be removed for overseas purchasers if necessary.
